I am pleased to announce the formation of an advisory committee charged with assisting in the search for a new Dean of the School of Physical Sciences. The committee will evaluate nominees and make recommendations. The committee will be chaired by Frank LaFerla, Dr. Lionel and Fay Ng Dean, Charlie Dunlop School of Biological Sciences. - Qing Nie, Distinguished Professor, Department of Mathematics, and UC Presidential Chair
- Eric Potma, Professor, Department of Chemistry
- Carl Smith, Senior Assistant Dean of Administration, School of Medicine
- Roman Vershynin, Professor, Department of Mathematics
- Daniel Whiteson, Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy
A national search will be conducted to identify the most qualified candidates for this position.
