Dear campus community,
You will have the opportunity to cast your ballot in the 2024 General Election on or before Tuesday, November 5. All UC Irvine community members are encouraged to take part in the election and make your voices heard. Voting in Orange County is easy and secure.
In-person same-day registration and voting
If you are not registered to vote, you may register in person on November 5 and cast your ballot. You must be 18 years old or older, a U.S. citizen, and reside in Orange County to complete the same-day voting process at an Orange County Vote Center. Find a vote center at ocvote.gov/votecenter.
In-person voting at the UC Irvine Student Center:
The vote center at the UC Irvine Student Center is open for voting during the below dates/times:
- Saturday, November 2-Monday, November 4 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Tuesday, November 5 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Mail-in or drop box voting
All currently registered California voters received a ballot in the mail. You can vote by returning the ballot in the mail on or before election day or by dropping it off at one of the ballot drop-off locations. UC Irvine has a ballot drop box located off Pereira Drive near Mesa Court Housing and Parking Lot 5.
For questions, contact the Registrar of Voters at (714) 567-7600 or (888) OCVOTES or visit ocvote.gov.
Please take advantage of your right to participate in American democracy. Make sure you are registered to vote, research the candidates and issues, and, most importantly, get out and vote on or before November 5.
Sincerely,
Hal Stern
