New University Hills Housing Project Approved by UC Regents

Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that a new housing project for University Hills Area 12 has been approved by the UC Regents. This approval will allow the construction of 102 units on the east side of Los Trancos Drive.

The first phase will include two buildings each with 16 three-bedroom units. To review conceptual floorplans, graphics, and other materials, including the UCI Environmental Review, please go to https://icha.uci.edu/Area12.

The demolition of the eastside Las Lomas Apartments is scheduled to begin in early 2022. Details regarding eligibility for and the timing of new home drawings are still to be determined. We will keep the community informed.
