The SEA Change Institutional Bronze Awards recognize institutions of higher education in the United States for commitment and action taken to identify, assess, and remove structural and systemic barriers to the inclusion and success of all interested individuals, regardless of their personal identities. The SEA Change program is inspired by the self-assessment process used by Athena Scientific Women’s Academic Network (SWAN) in the United Kingdom that recognizes higher education and research institutions using good practices to advance gender equality in STEMM.
One of the largest scientific professional associations in the world, AAAS has honored 185 UCI faculty members for their individual scientific achievement and contributions to research.
Sincerely,
