I am pleased to announce the formation of a search committee to assist in the recruitment of a dean for the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences. The committee is charged with finding outstanding candidates with exemplary administrative and academic leadership experience who are distinguished scholars capable of leading the academic enterprise of the school. The committee will be chaired by Padhraic Smyth, director of the UCI Data Science Initiative and professor, Department of Computer Science. Other committee members include:
We have engaged the services of Spencer Stuart, a nationally recognized academic search consultant, to assist the committee.
