Many UCI students consider the Peace Corps as a post-graduation opportunity to apply newly acquired skills and experience living in another culture. In the past decade, more than 600 UCI alumni have served as Peace Corps volunteers. This session is led by local Peace Corps recruiter, Thomas Badilla (Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Zambia). The session will provide faculty and staff updates about the current activities of the Peace Corps (post-COVID), tips on promoting and advising Peace Corps for your students, and an opportunity to ask questions and hear first-hand experiences from UCI Returned Peace Corps Volunteers.
