Dear campus community,

I invite students, faculty and staff to join the Institute for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, scheduled 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, in the UCI Student Center Pacific Ballrooms.  The event keynote on “Developing a Resilient and Inclusive Talent Pipeline: The Role of Universities,” will be presented by Ian Williamson, a global leader in the area of human resource management and dean of the Paul Merage School of Business. This event is open to the UCI community.

RSVP to attend this in-person event at: https://uciadvance.wufoo.com/forms/r35u3l20cpqvro/.

This campus-wide forum provides opportunities for UCI members who are involved in diversity, equity, and inclusion work to hear updates about the UCI Action Plan for Inclusive Excellence and relevant evidence-based practices to advance collaborations in these areas. Leaders from the Academic Senate, Office of Academic Planning and Institutional Research, and the Divisions of Undergraduate Education, Graduate Division, Student Affairs, and others will engage participants in collaborative planning discussions. Themed table dialogues will include issues on student success, pathways to the professoriate and graduate student growth, wellness and revitalization, inclusive excellence planning, campus climate and community safety.

For additional information, please visit the Institute webpage at: https://inclusion.uci.edu/education-training/institute/. I look forward to seeing you on September 20.

Take the Pledge
