Dear campus community,
UCI students, staff, faculty and community partners are invited to Save the Date to attend the Latino Excellence and Achievement Awards (LEAD) virtual gala on April 1, 2021, and to submit nominations to honor UCI members at the gala. The RSVP will open in mid-March.
Please submit your nominations by 5 p.m. PT on March 5 under the LEAD tab at: https://inclusion.uci.edu/recognition/ to honor members of our campus community.
In addition to graduate students, who will be selected separately by each participating school, four awards will be announced on April 1 to honor members of our campus community.
- Outstanding Faculty Mentorship Award – Faculty member who mentors and encourages the success of Latinx/Hispanic graduate students and junior faculty
- Distinguished Staff Leadership Award – Staff or postdoctoral researcher who displays strong leadership on behalf of UCI’s Latinx/Hispanic community
- Outstanding Community Builder Award – Community member who has developed and championed UCI and the UCI Latinx/Hispanic community
- Outstanding Alumni Leadership Award – Alumni who develop and champion UCI and the UCI Latinx/Hispanic community
This LEAD gala honors key leaders, graduate students, staff and faculty who support and champion student success and research excellence in the Latinx/Hispanic community at UCI and in Orange County.
