Faculty and graduate students are invited to join in this new workshop designed to celebrate and promote effective collaboration in interdisciplinary research. Workshop sessions will address a wide range of topics of interest to UCI researchers, including hands-on tools for promoting effective cross-disciplinary collaboration and best practices for leading and sustaining interdisciplinary research and training programs.
Additional topics include:
- Identifying funding sources that support interdisciplinary research
- Building successful university-community partnerships
- Leveraging an interdisciplinary degree in today’s job market
- Promotion and tenure implications of participating in team-based scholarship, including strategies for highlighting one’s contributions to collaborative projects in academic personnel reviews
